Social Performance

At Brunei LNG, Corporate Social Responsibility is known as Social Investment. The objective of Social investment (SI) is to create a positive presence and legacy in the communities and societies where we operate, and so gain community acceptance for our business objectives.

For Brunei LNG this includes our fenceline neighbours, the Mukim Liang Lumut community, the Tutong District as well as the nation as a whole. The objective of SI is to create value through the contribution of skills and/or resources to society to provide lasting benefit to them and the environment and to Brunei LNG and its Shareholders. SI may take many forms including financial assistance, in-kind donations (such as surplus equipment or materials), volunteering and sharing of expertise. Ultimately, it is the impact of the contributions rather than their financial value that is most important.
