    • March 17th - HSSE milestone with 6 million man-hours without LTI and 665 goal zero days.
    • Achieved 0 Process Safety (PS) incidents, 0 Total Recordable Cases and 0 Loss of Process Containment (LOPC).
    • Brunei LNG is ranked No.1 in the Global LNG benchmarking exercise and constantly maintained as its position as a top quartile performer amongst the other 9 LNG plants world-wide.
    • Ranked 1st in key parameters i.e. safety, plant availability, reliability and cost for 3 consecutive years.
    2011
    • Brunei LNG achieved the status of “Best Performer Laboratory 2009/2010” in Shell Group for the 6th Consecutive Years in “Gas Correlation Scheme”.
    • Brunei LNG completed the Quality Management System (QMS – ISO 9001) and Environment Management System (EMS – ISO 14001) recertification audits without any non-compliance reported.
    • December 1st, Brunei LNG achieved 13 million man-hours without LTI.
    • December 4th -  Declared Brunei LNG plant to be hydrocarbon and chemical leak free as of 4th December.

    • May 5th, Commissioning of new rail car vehicles
    • May 16th , 15 million combined man-hours achieved without LTI
    • Brunei LNG’s Training Centre accredited as a BTEC Approved Centre
    • Brunei LNG is the first LNG plant worldwide to overhaul the loading arms

    • May 30th - Brunei LNG received Shell’s “Make it Safe Award” for their commitment to making their assets safe every day.
    • June - Successful commissioning of Loading Arm 1

    2014
    • Brunei LNG Achieves ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 Re-certification
    • New Digital Radiography Technology on Brunei LNG Tank 6 Project Significantly Contributed to HSE & Project Schedule

    • April 22nd- Completion of Tank 6 project within budget and without LTI
    • May 19th - The new Laboratory officially opened
    • June 5th – Brunei LNG achieved 6500 cargo delivery to Japan
    2016
    •  September — Completion of COGEN II Project delivers full efficient plant and reduces the carbon footprint of Brunei LNG

    •  March 28th — Brunei LNG unveils 50th Anniversary logo
    • September 16th — His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister in the Prime Ministers Office, visits Brunei LNG in his capacity as Chairman of Brunei LNG Board of Directors
    • December 9th — Brunei LNG celebrates historic 50th Anniversary milestone

    2000
    • December 1st, Dato Haji Hamdillah H.A.Wahab, the first Bruneian to be appointed as Managing Director of Brunei LNG.
    • July 4th, Brunei LNG became the first LNG plant to be awarded with ISO14001.
    2001
    • Brunei LNG delivered 200.3 B Class Cargoes ( 6.7 million tonnes of LNG ).
    • Highest ever record of local recruitment with 27 locals (9 from a pool of HND holders and graduates).
    2002
    • April, Brunei LNG laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 as the first laboratory in Brunei Darussalam to achieve this prestigious award with accreditation in two testing fields: Environmental Testing field for water testing and; Chemical 7 Biological field for Petroleum and Natural Gas Testing.
    • First spot sale activities outside the Asia-Pacific market: April 9, the first cargo destined for the USA was loaded into the LNG tanker, Aries and was discharged at CMS Energy's LNG terminal at Lake Charles on May 13.
    • April 27, the second cargo, which went to Spain, was loaded into the SS Bekulan and was delivered to Barcelona on May 17;
    • June 15, the third cargo was loaded into Aries for delivery to Huevla in Spain.
    • Brunei LNG was awarded the ISO 9001: 2000 series in May that qualifies the company as having a more customer focused management system.
    • 27 May, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muthadee Billah, the Crown Prince, launched the first International Gas Conference and Exhibition to be organised by Brunei and successfully hosted by BLNG, the Seventh Gas Information Exchange (GASEX) Conference and Exhibition 2002.
    • 13 July, official launching ceremony by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on the completion, loading and unloading of the first LNG Cargo for Abadi aboard the vessel at Lumut.
    2003
    • MCHE replacement project (Main Cryogenic Heat Exchangers) signing Ceremony on February 2003. It is the largest and most sophisticated piece of equipment in LNG production sequence where the gas is finally liquefied. The new MCHEs will reinforce Brunei LNG's commitment to its traditional Japanese and Korea customers.

    • The highest delivery of LNG in the 30 years history was achieved when a record delivery of 214 cargoes were delivered.
    • Brunei LNG celebrated its 30 years of successful partnership with Japan.
    2004
    • June- Brunei LNG celebrated 10th Anniversary with Korea Gas KOGAS
    • July- Brunei LNG officially handed over Liang Lumut Recreation Club to Belait District Office
    • Nov 24th – Brunei LNG and Foster Wheeler Eastern Pte Ltd signed a contract on Power Plant Project
    • Dec 2nd-  Brunei LNG and Institut Teknologi Brunei (ITB) signed MOU formalising the existing cooperation between BLNG and ITB since 2002, for the Engineering Technical Progression Scheme (ETPS)
    2005
    • March- Brunei LNG participated in the World Expo in Aichi, Japan
    • June- The achievement of 5000th Cargo delivery to Japan with the celebration held in Tokyo , Japan in September 2005
    • August- The completion of MCHE's replacement project
    • September – Signing for the Issuance of Sukuk Al-Ijarah between Brunei LNG and IDBB Sukuk Inc.
    • December- The beginning of the Power Plant Project
    2006
    • The achievement of 10 Million man-hours without Lost Time Incident (LTI) and followed by 1 Million man-hours without Total Recordable Case (TRC).
    • A new record of 218 cargoes delivered to our customers, the highest ever in the history of Brunei LNG
    • July 13th- Brunei LNG signed contract with local Contractors for the Plant Extension Projects
    • August 8th- Brunei LNG signed Master Charter Party Agreement with Tokyo LNG Tanker Co Ltd  a  wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo Gas Co. Ltd.
    2007
    • January- Brunei LNG achieved 11 million man-hours without LTI
    • On 25th September, Brunei LNG received its 6th chartered ship in Lumut for delivering LNG to its buyers in Japan.
    2008
    • The laboratory services of Brunei LNG awarded the Best Performer for the Shell Gas Correlation Scheme for the third consecutive years
    • Signing contract for two new LNG Ships through Brunei Gas Carrier (BGC) and Daewoo Ship building and Marine Engineering (DSME) on 31st January 2008
    • Brunei Refinery achieved 25th Anniversary without LTI
    • Brunei LNG awarded as the Top Quartile Performer in LNG industry for the second consecutive years
    • Brunei LNG successfully hosted Society of International Gas, Tankers and Terminal Operators (SIGTTO) Conference, which attracted more than 120 delegates worldwide.
    • Brunei LNG Laboratory rated as 2008 Best Shell Laboratory in Correlation results for the 5th consecutive year
    2009
    • September 3rd-  Brunei LNG achieved a significant safety milestone of 4 million man-hours worked without LTI and TRC
    • Top quartile organisation in an annual assessment participated by LNG
    • December 9th- Brunei LNG celebrated 40th Anniversary of its establishment

    • 1 April, Sale and Purchase Extension Agreement executed
    • 26 July, the 3000th delivery made by S.S. Bebatik was delivered to Sodegaura Terminal, Tokyo Gas.
    • 4 August, S.S. Bubuk delivered a 100 million tonnes of LNG to Negishi Terminal.
    1994
    • February, first delivery to Pyeong Taek, Korea Gas Corporation under a Short Term Agreement.
    • December, Brunei LNG Laboratory was certified for GD-2.ISO/IEC Guide 25.
    1996
    • 1 January, merger of Brunei Coldgas Sendirian Berhad and Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad.
    • June, Brunei LNG was certified ISO9001.
    • 31 July, Brunei LNG received the International Standard Organisation (ISO) 9001 Certificate.
    • 10 August, the 3000th delivery made by S.S. Bubuk was delivered to Sodegaura Terminal, Tokyo Gas.
    1997

    22 October, a Long Term Agreement signed with Korea Gas Corporation for 700,000 tonnes of LNG per annum.

    1998
    • 16 June, an Amendment of Agreement for 14 additional cargoes per annum to Japan from April 1999 was signed.
    • 29 August, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to grace Brunei LNG Plant's 25th Anniversary Celebration at Jerudong Polo Club.
    1999
    • April 1st, the supply of feed gas by BBJV from Maharaja Lela and Jamallul Alam fields came into effect.
    • The delivery of the 4000th consecutive cargo to Japan.

    20 November, the 1000th delivery made by S.S. Gadinia was delivered to Sodegaura Terminal, Tokyo Gas.

    1986

    Brunei Shell Tankers Sdn Bhd was established. The names of the Brunei LNG carriers now carry the initials of 'B' named after the Malay name of local  fishes . Picture shows a Tug Boat assisting BELANAK in Senboku.

    1987

    4 April, the 2000th delivery made by S.S. Bekulan was delivered to Sodegaura Terminal, Tokyo Gas.

    1989

    Major rejuvenation commenced. Works completed in 1994. Total project value $500 million.

    • 12 January, Joint Venture Agreement for Brunei LNG project was signed
    • 2 June, the Sale and Purchase Agreement was signed between  Coldgas Trading Limited and the Tokyo Electric Power Company Incorporated, Tokyo Gas Co. Ltd. and Osaka Gas Co. Ltd and simultaneously between Brunei LNG Limited and Coldgas Trading.
    1972
    • February, a Side Letter of incremental volume to 5.14 million tonnes per year August, No. 1 Train at Lumut was completed
    • October, S.S. Gadinia, Shell owned LNG carrier for the Brunei LNG Project was launched.
    • 15 December, S.S. Gadinia entered Senboku No. 1 Terminal, Osaka Gas, marks the first Brunei LNG delivery to Japan

    • 9 January, S.S. Gadinia's first delivery to Negishi Terminal, Tokyo Gas
    • 4 April, BLNG Plant at Lumut was officially opened by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
